Kindergarten Program
Building confident leaders, ready for the next step
Our Kindergarten Program is for children ages 5–6 years and represents the exciting final year in our Montessori 3–6 cycle. This is the year when everything they’ve been learning comes together — academically, socially, and emotionally — preparing them to move into Grade 1 with confidence and independence.
Preparing for Big School
Children solidify the skills they’ve been developing since preschool and build new ones that set them up for success in their next learning environment
Advanced Academics – More complex math concepts, reading comprehension, and written expression.
Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking – Applying knowledge to real-world situations and multi-step tasks.
Project Work – In-depth cultural, science, and art projects that encourage research, creativity, and presentation skills.
Social & Emotional Skills – Conflict resolution, teamwork, and self-management in a collaborative community.
A Year of Leadership and Mastery
Kindergarten takes place in Classroom 3, a mixed-age setting where older children naturally take on leadership roles.
They:
Mentor and guide younger classmates
Demonstrate and model lessons
Take on more advanced projects and responsibilities
Build pride in their abilities through helping others
The Montessori Difference
Unlike traditional kindergarten programs, our Montessori approach allows children to:
-
Progress at their own pace without feeling rushed or held back
-
Receive one-on-one and small group lessons tailored to their needs
-
Work with hands-on materials that deepen understanding before moving to abstract concepts
-
Maintain a balance of independent work, peer collaboration, and guided instruction
Extra Enrichment
Kindergarten children also enjoy:
Music
Yoga
Beginner French
Hot lunch program (optional)
