Preschool Program

Nurturing independence, curiosity, and a love of learning

Our Preschool Program is designed for children ages 3–5 years, providing a warm, engaging space where they can explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. In this stage, children develop greater independence and confidence while building the academic and life skills that will prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond.

What We Learn in Preschool

Through a mix of independent work, small group lessons, and practical life activities, children develop skills across all Montessori learning areas.

  • Mathematics – Using hands-on materials to understand numbers, patterns, and problem-solving.

  • Language – Building vocabulary, phonics, and early writing skills.

  • Sensorial – Refining the senses through activities that isolate and highlight specific qualities like texture, size, and color.

  • Practical Life – Caring for themselves and their environment through real-world activities like pouring, sweeping, and food preparation.

  • Culture & Science – Exploring the world through geography, nature studies, and hands-on science experiments.

A Montessori Environment for Growth

Preschool takes place in Classroom 3, a vibrant, mixed-age setting shared with older peers.

Younger children benefit from having role models to learn from, while older preschoolers begin stepping into leadership roles.

The room is:

  • Designed with open shelves and natural materials for easy access

  • Filled with carefully chosen Montessori activities for hands-on learning

  • Organized to encourage focus, choice, and responsibility

  • Managed by 3 experienced teachers for up to 24 children, allowing for individual attention

  • Make choices about their work

  • Concentrate for longer periods of time

  • Practice self-help skills like dressing, cleaning up after themselves, and preparing snacks

  • Gain confidence in expressing ideas and asking questions
