Our 8-week Montessori Summer Camp keeps children engaged, active, and curious all summer long. Located at 4945 Portage Avenue in Headingley — in the heart of the Winnipeg, MB community — our day camp offers families across Tuxedo, Linden Woods, Whyte Ridge, Richmond, and Fort Whyte a safe, nurturing Montessori learning environment that goes well beyond standard Winnipeg childcare programs.
Our goal is simple. Give every child aged 3 through Kindergarten a summer filled with adventure, creativity, discovery, and genuine Montessori education — preparing them not just for the next school year, but for life.

Our Guiding Minds Montessori Summer Camp offers children aged 3 through Kindergarten a structured yet joyful experience grounded in the Montessori philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. The camp is designed to provide a variety of hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and creative projects that keep kids engaged, growing, and thriving across all 8 weeks.
Themed Weeks — Each week is built around a fun educational theme that includes a variety of hands-on activities, creative projects, and daily exploration. Children ages 3 through Kindergarten build knowledge, vocabulary, and curiosity through focused, joyful discovery based on authentic Montessori education principles.
Outdoor Play Every Day
Nature walks, water play, and outdoor games give children daily fresh air, gross motor development, and physical confidence. Our camp is situated near green spaces that allow for rich nature based exploration throughout the summer.
Creative Arts and Crafts
Art, painting, building, and hands-on projects encourage imagination, fine motor skills, self-expression, and creativity in a safe, nurturing learning environment.
Cooking and Baking
Food preparation recipes build practical life skills, math foundations, sequencing, and confidence. Cooking activities include age-appropriate recipes that grow in complexity as children ages progress through the camp program.
Gym and Active Play
Our indoor gym provides an alternative active play space that offers children aged 3 through Kindergarten a variety of movement based activities on days when outdoor play is limited.
Special Guests and Visitors
Musicians, animal educators, science presenters, and community experts offer children new knowledge, skills, stories, and experiences throughout the 8-week day camp program.
Skill-Building Activities
Yoga, music, gardening, and team games provide a variety of movement, mindfulness, gross motor development, and social skills experiences in a purposeful, child-centered daily program.

OUR SUMMER CAMP CURRICULUM
A Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten Program Built for Summer
Our Summer Camp curriculum is based on the authentic Montessori program developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Every day includes structured Montessori learning blocks where children aged 3 through Kindergarten choose from prepared activities across art, music, math, language, and practical life. Our trained staff observe and guide without interrupting the natural exploration and curiosity of each child.
The environment at our Headingley centre is designed to spark curiosity and grow independence across every age group. Classrooms connect to outdoor play areas where children explore nature, care for animals, and engage in creative physical activity throughout the full day.
